Bold Fathers
Honest:
How do you cope with, effectively, three
jobs?
Luke:
Haha, well, I wouldn’t call fatherhood a job, but it does take a lot of energy. I’m lucky, I have an amazing wife and get to be a father to our beautiful little girl. I have a business that was started out of a passion that I operate with my best mate, and I have a full-time job that I love doing. Sometimes I’m a little tired, but being tired reinforces the fact that I’m making the most of my time.
Honest:
What is the most challenging part of being a father?
Luke:
Sleep, haha. I’m ok with being tired, but the nights when you get maybe 2-3 hours of sleep make it hard for the next day.
Honest:
I am yet to be a father, what would you say is the best thing that I have to look forward to?
Luke:
The ‘firsts’ – every time your child does something for the first time, it’s an incredibly surreal feeling.
Honest:
If Poppy wanted to go into the family business, based on her current merits, would you hire her and if so, what would she do?
Luke:
Hahaha, that’s a good question. She has energy to burn and loves to throw things, so maybe she can help with recycling the boxes.
